After months of preparation, workshops, events and meet and greets, Liesl Laurie took to the stage at the Room 5 venue in Rivonia where she announced the 12 finalists who will proceed to compete for the final crown. The dozen beauty queen contestants will vie for the coveted crown on Sunday March 26 at the Sun City Superbowl. The winner will receive R1-million in cash from Sun International and Cell C as well as a bouquet of prizes that will elevate the competition to one of the richest pageants in the world.

This marked the first time members of the public were allowed to vote for their favourite semi-finalist in the pageant and propel her into the Top 12. Congrats to Pretoria’s Nicole van Niekerk on scooping the public’s choice!
