The world is ready and prepped-up to give their bit towards 67 minutes of service in celebration of the day a leader, an icon, a cadre, and a former statesman was born. It would have been Mandela's 98th birthday this year.
Speaking of that, local rapper Emtee has collaborated with Nigerian reggae-blues singer Harrysong to drop a Nelson Mandela tribute single, just in time for Mandela Day next week.
The track, which was released earlier this week, sees Emtee pay his heartfelt respects to the fallen hero, Madiba.
Along the track, we hear the Roll Up hitmaker resemble his life with that of Tata Madiba in which he pours out his heartfelt gratitude for Mandela's legacy which is; "giving us this rainbow nation."
"I would do anything to see you again… I am what I am today because of you," the Roll Up rapper later sings.
We couldn’t help but do the Madiba dance when we heard the track… click on the link to see the full video of the track: https://youtu.be/qVgk9A-_AB0
