With the hype and publicity surrounding it, it wouldn’t be a surpise if Jay-Z’s 13th studio album 4:44 will probably go down in history as one of his best projects to date.
However, it seems like certain lyrics seem to be hitting the nerves of Jay’s fellow hip-hop counterparts of the South. And leave it up to Atlanta’s trap music dignitary Future to further demonstrate that for us.
If you have noticed, artists emerging from the music scene of the South have long been known to flaunt their finances on their ears.
We are not sure if it’s a rite of passage or what, but almost all of them take dozens of photos with stacks of money held to their ears like a phone and normally accompanied by a “the money calling” caption, or something of its nature.
So when Jay addressed the spectacle in his “The Story of O.J.” track, all eyes turned to those artists famous for the Instagram flexing—including Fewtch.
To no surprise, the “Perkys Calling” rap star took to his Snapchat to respond to the lyrics with none other than a photo of himself holding a stack of money to his ear.
“U ain’t got the juice like dat,” the Snap’s caption reads. “MOOD.”
This wouldn’t be the first piece of evidence that Fewtch has clearly been listening to Jay’s new album. Following other Future-alluding lyrics on the project’s first single, “Kill Jay Z,” where Jay references the controversial photo of Future’s son playing football with his stepfather and husband of Ciara, Russell Wilson, Fewtch posted his own Instagram flick with Baby Future as an FYI of sorts.
