A new statement from Bobbi Kristina Brown's family contains some interesting information about her relationship with Nick Gordon. According to dad Bobby Brown's lawyer, the 21-year-old aspiring singer is not actually married to the tech investor.
The news comes as a bit of a shock given that Brown and Gordon announced their supposed marriage themselves via Twitter in January 2014. At the time, she posted a photo of their hands with what appeared to be wedding bands, along with the caption "@nickgordon! #HappilyMarried SO #InLove. If you didn't get it the first time that is."
They later told TMZ that they were planning an official celebration in the coming months, adding that Brown's grandmother, Cissy Houston, had given the marriage "her blessing."
(Brown's late mother, Whitney Houston, took Gordon in when he was 12 years old. A few months after her death in 2012, he and Bobbi Kristina announced they were engaged in a sneak peek of their short-lived reality show, The Houstons: On Our Own.
