The two presenters who have been the face of the show of late are set to move on from the fun soccer show after SABC bosses decided to change the format.
Viewers / soccer lovers will have to make peace with seeing Dlamini and Mlambo presenting their last few shows in the next coming two months after they were removed from the new format of the new show.
Source mentioned that SoccerZone is losing its audience bit by bit and is no longer what it once was despite bringing the two experts onboard.
Instead, producers decided to swing the show to a whole different direction, making it a highlights only show without presenters.
‘’The story is Thomas and Minnie Dlamini have failed in terms of improving viewership, but to be fair things have never been the same since Robert Marawa left in 2006… when they hired Thomas, they thought he could steady the whole thing but even his arrival did little to change things around,’’ a source said.
In fact, even the inclusion of Minnie Dlamini could not change viewership figures around since ‘’she doesn’t know anything about football,’’ the source added.
Catch the new version of the show on Monday at 10pm, hope it will be entertaining enough to lure back viewers.
