According to the SA Police Service, the rapper who resides in Alexandra was stabbed to death at 2am this morning and a woman has been arrested.
The details of the 38-year-old rapper's death are still sketchy but it is understood he was involved in an altercation with his girlfriend at the time of his death.
"The last time I had a long chat with him was two weeks ago and he told me they broke up,"said Slikour in an interview with Jacaranda.
eNCA said that his former rapmate, Siyabonga 'Slikour' Metane confirmed the death.
“I just got a call from his family. I will be on my way to his family’s home.”
He said that he cannot give details around Flabba's death. "I don't think I am in a shape to talk about it, all I know, whatever happened, is that I have lost a friend.
"Whatever the story is, he is not coming back," said the emotional Slikour.
Flabba was last seen by his friends and other celebrities, who did not want to be named, at JR's birthday celebration at The Sands in Sandton.
He was famously known for his solo track 'Isbhamu somdoko' that took the airwaves by storm in 2008.
His career took a dip and he was away from the rap scene for a couple of years and he staged his comeback on 'Do Like I Do' by Dj Slique. It is understood that Flabba had two children.
Slikour said that Flabba was a genuine person. "Everything about him is genuine, whether he was angry, whether he was he was happy. He generally had a big heart, he was a good guy.
"In Skwatta Kamp he was the most independent thinker and he just got a big heart. He had a big heart," said Slikour.
