Former Metro FM presenter DJ Sbu Leope has been arrested for the third time for traffic offences in as many years.
Leope, who was recently fired from the SABC commercial radio station for ambush marketing, was caught by Randfontein police for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol in the wee hours of yesterday morning.
He was, according to information received, driving back from an ANC rally in Rustenburg, North West, when he was nabbed by officers after they noticed a white Porsche allegedly zigzagging in the middle of a road in the Randfotein CBD.
Police spokesman Tsekiso Mofokeng confirmed that Leope was arrested for drunk driving and spent several hours in police holding cells before he was released on bail.
He was released on R1500 bail and will appear in the Randburg Magistrate's Court later this year.
This is not the first time the DJ has found himself in trouble with the police.
