Charges of theft against Kwaito star Tokollo "Magesh" Tshabalala's have been dropped after he was arrested on Monday evening after refusing to pay his bill of R62 in a tavern
It was reported that Magesh complained about two drinks he had bought for him and his friend (Thabiso Mpolo), he said they were too costly and that he has his own club in Joburg that didn’t charge that much for drinks.
An argument followed between the artist and the waiters of the tavern before the police were called to resolve the quarrel, which lead to Magesh and his friend’s arrest, because he was not willing to settle the bill even in the presence of police.
Daily Sun then revealed that the two men appeared at the Bloemfontein Magistrate Court on Tuesday, but before they could even hear their charges, the magistrate court declared that their charges had been dropped, Zalebs confirmed.
After the charges were dropped, the two men were said to have left the court straightaway, dodging the gathered reporters and photojournalists.
