Cape Town – "Was there a big stand-up scene is South Africa?" Jimmy Fallon asks Trevor Noah during his appearance on The Tonight Show over the weekend.

“No,” Trevor answers. “Because there wasn't a big freedom scene…it sort of limits you.”

Trevor Noah, who will soon be hosting The Daily Show, has now officially moved to New York City and is preparing for his new gig by making appearances on other talk shows.

During the interview the South African comedian also revealed exactly how he got into standup comedy.

Noah's hot new job is undoubtedly putting South Africa in the spotlight and hopefully opening doors to many other talented locals hoping to make it big!
