An English woman thought she was having an intimate relationship with a man called Kye Fortune for two years – only to discover she was actually sleeping her 25-year-old female friend Gayle Newland.
The woman was quoted saying "He was saying how much I had helped him get through his illness. "(He said) it was a sign, we should get married, we should have kids, we were going to do all sorts of things." He was a she.
According to the Irish Independent the woman wasn't unobservant, Newland had talked her into wearing a blindfold throughout their intercourse encounters and used a prosthetic.
They met through Facebook, and 'Kye' told her that he had been involved in a car accident; medics had found he had a brain tumour, and he didn't want her to see his scars.
The first time they met up for an intercourse, 'Kye' was in the hotel bathroom when she entered and saw that the bed was covered with rose petals and Hello Kitty bears.
According to the UK's Mirror Newland explained that her high pitched voice was due to her Asian heritage. They met up again a few times, right up until the complainant found something that didn't feel right. “We had intercourse and while I was having it I grabbed for the back of his head and my hand got caught in something. "Something did not feel right and I sat up in the bed. “He was standing up and something in my mind said, ‘pull it off, pull it off.’ “I pulled it off and Gayle was standing there with a strap-on on." “Straight away as soon as I pulled it off she pulled her hat over her face. “She said, 'it is not what you think.”
Now Newland is on trial at Chester Crown Court for five counts of sexual assault between February and June 2013.
