Irvin Khoza, Premier Soccer League (PSL) chairman announced on Tuesday that Former Bafana Bafana captain and goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa’s multi-million insurance payment has been settled.

"The Senzo Meyiwa insurance payout has been received by the league. "We will notify the family, the club and beneficiaries in a proper manner," said Dr Khoza on his tweeter.

Former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Meyiwa was shot and killed in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni, at his girlfriend’s home Kelly Khumalo last October.

Meyiwa's killers have not yet been brought to justice, but his father indicated he knows who killed his son.

The insurance payout is said to be R5 million and will be distributed among Meyiwa's children and close relatives.
