Sleeping beauty, no more hush, didn’t you hear the sound of the rush during the weekend? Yes you heard it right, the Ticketpro Dome in Jozi was the place to be this weekend in case you missed it.
This was the first BET Experience Africa ever witnessed with people flocking in from all over Jozi to enjoy magnifying performances from this world concert. It brought live Africa’s giants such as Tanzania’s very own Diamond Platnumz, Nigeria’s Sugar and Mzansi’s very own COMPOSURE hitmaker AKA performed before the US took charge of the stage.
Young Thug entertained the crowd and before you knew it, people started filling up the area as Raphael Saadiq and RNB queen Mary J Blige and ladies man, Maxwell were about to go on stage.
One excited fan declared that she’d come to watch the US singers perform.
‘’I’ve seen most of the artists in the line-up perform, so I’m here for those three.’’
Among SA’s celebs were Nomvula hitmaker, Nathi Mankayi, as well as the new hot male and female rappers in the block Emtee and Fifi Cooper. This concert surely had everything for everyone including a drifting show performed by professional drivers featuring the Chevrolet SS Lumina.
The audience probably had to nurse their laughing bones the next day because Comedians like Skhumba Hlophe, Tats Nkozo and Kenya’s Churchill gave the audience something to laugh about in the packed hall.
It is learned that at the celebrity Basketball game, DJ Tbo Touch’s team went head to head with minister Fikile Mbalula’s team. Mbalula’s team lost 19-15 in points to their opponents.
The game had big celebz like Khanyi Mbau, Kaizer Chiefs player Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Morgan Gould, rappers JR, Reason, Slikour and Riky Rick, who was judged as the most valuable player of the day..
Mbalula said the evening was aimed at bringing unity and prosperity in a positive way, we at Entertainment SA couldn’t agree more.
