It seems 2015 has been a good one for most of our local celebs. One celebrity who sure had an explosive year is DJ Black Coffee who released his album, Pieces Of Me.
The album has gone onto become a smash hit and was received favorably by audiences it even and even went onto spur a dance challenge as both ordinary people and celebs alike challenged each other’s dance moves through the DJ and Nakhane Toure’s track ‘We Dance Again’. Celebrities such as Somizi Mhlongo and the DJ’s wife Mbali Mlothswa set the dance floor ablaze as they posted their dance moves on their social pages.
As if the local success wasn’t enough, Apple has named the musician’s album number one on their “best of” list for 2015.
The DJ’s album has received international recognition since its release, it has scooped him two awards at the Annual DJ Awards in Ibiza, Spain. Drake has even reportedly selected some tracks from the DJ’s album for Apple Radio, really. Entertainment SA likes it when local artists do great internationally.
