If you are a fan of LadySmith Black Mambazo, here’s something to tickle your entertainment bone.. Wait for it……  Four times, roger that, four – time Grammy award – winning legendary group have scooped another nomination at the 2016 Grammy Awards in the Best World Music Album category.

The group will be celebrating other important aspects such as 55 years in the music industry and their Lifetime Achievement Award, which they received at the African Musik Magazine Awards in Nigeria last month. And be sure, they will celebrate all of this in style.

They will go up against fellow Grammy award winner Angelique kidjo from Benin, Brazillian musician Gilberto Gil, Zomba Prison Project (prisoners in Zomba Central Prison) and India’s finest Anoushka Shankar.

The scathamiya group’s manager Xolani Majozi told reporters that they will perform their hit songs to entertain and give back to their fans who have always had their back through good and bad timeas, in sickness and in health, more like a happily married couple.

‘’The highlight for fans will be the performance of original members Joseph Shabalala and Russel Mthembu,’’ said Majozi.

‘’Since they are old, they no longer perform with the group in public but on this special night, they will be there.’’

Majozi also also added that Professor and Ringo would also perform selected songs with the group..wowzers!

The event will commence at 7pm and tickets are available at computicket for a minimum of R200.
