Actress Lerato Mvelase, who starred in the award winning local drama, Home Affairs, and a few other popular dramas, has become a sangoma. This is after she took a 3-month break from acting to go on a three month long initiation.
The actress took to Instagram to share the news of her initiation and recent graduation ceremony into the world of sangomas with her fans, she also released a couple of pictures alongside her fellow initiates whom she has been going through the process with.
This is part of her caption on her Instagram page:
"The hardest months of my life. Emotionally, physically and spiritually. Away from my home, my kids, my mother! But I’m a soldier, a powerful spirit. I’m connected in the most amazing way to God,uMveliqandi, Abathembu, my ancestors. I know who I truly am. I am stripped of the worldly things I thought defined me, made me."
Lerato joins another actress who is also a sangoma, Generation: The Legacy actress Latoya Makhene, who it appears is still continuing to enjoy her life even with the calling.
