It is usually said that "it takes two to make one," but this time around, it takes one to make three happen… If one had to choose their "man of the week," EntertainmentSA advises one to choose a three in on package-man who juggles music, modelling and teaching without bending a muscle.
When one thinks of maskandi musicians, the first thing that comes in mind is a traditional outfit, and an illiterate person.
If you dear reader are one of those, South African Traditional Music Awards nominee, Lungelo aka "Ngelo V" Vilane wants to prove you wrong.
The 26 year old Nongoma-born musician is also a professional clothing model, and has two accredited qualifications from different varsities. Not only that, burden of proof depicts that he is also a full-time teacher.
The former Markham's clothing ambassador told sources that he loves modelling work but can't abandon the entertaining world of maskandi because it runs in his veins and arteries.
"The combination of my two qualifications plus modelling helps make my music more interesting to my fans. I grew up listening to kwaito star Zola.
"Unlike him I grew up in a rural area, so I had to learn all about kwaito," he said.
It is learned that he obtained a Bcom in supply chain management and marketing at the University of KZN in 2010.
"I now work as an English and business studies teacher at Kwasenge Primary School in Greytown, KZN," he said.
His song Ben 10 from his very own album is getting a lot of publicity and airplay on radio stations. What a very entertaining way to multitask.
