Beyonce said “a DIVA is a female version of a Hustler But Mpumi seems to be taking it to another level

She a talented musician that’s one thing that no one can take away from her, but Nompumelelo Mzobe of Somandla fame seems to be losing her power due to being a DIVA

This after it emerged she’s allegedly a disaster to work with. The starlet from Ndwedwe, in KwaZulu-Natal, who’s affectionately known as “Mpumi”, is said to be giving a lot of music promoters a headache due to her unprofessionalism. Insiders claimed Mpumi, who is dating a Nigerian boyfriend-cum-manager, is big-headed and fails to honour her gigs.

“Mpumi is talented but her manager, John Helder, is the one who makes her big headed and now she believes she’s a star.

“She’s still trying to break it into the Entertainment industry, but her diva tendencies are costing her a lot. Her boyfriend controls her and she’s not focused at all.  A source was quoted saying “The problem is John tells her she’s in demand and he’ll make her a superstar, but that’s not the case,”…  Another close friend of the songstress said John doesn’t understand how the music industry works and confuses Mpumi.

“Music promoters are now gatvol and are no longer interested in working with Mpumi because of her boyfriend. “They claim he gives them problems and also fails to deliver as he should. “He’s causing problems for Mpumi and this will end up messing her career up,” said a source.

When our Entertainment SA News and Gossip report contacted Helder this is what he had to say “This is jealousy as Mpumi is working on a new album? It’s utter rubbish and if they don’t like the artist, they will come up with stories. I’m also not dating Mpumi. Previously, I was accused of dating one of my artists, DJ Lady T,” said Helder.
