Gareth cliff, who was dismissed for his social media utterances following the Penny Sparrow social media race debacle which were deemed by M-net at the time, as “lacking empathy” and who announced that he intends suing M-net R25million, has in an about turn, demanded that he be reinstated to his old position or he will have no choice but to take the broadcaster to court.
Gareth Cliff’s legal team have issued M-net with an ultimatum to have him reinstated to his position as an Idols judge or face the music in court, the broadcaster had until Wednesday, 20 January at 10:00 to reply to this. This follows a meeting held on Monday, 19 January, between the two both parties failed to reach an agreement,
Should they fail to do this, his legal team will apply for an urgent court hearing which will be heard as soon as the January 26, 16. If the judge rules against Gareth to have him reinstated to his job as the Idols judge his legal team intends on halting the flighting of Idols season 12 as they battle it out in court as Gareth Cliff sues the broadcaster R25million.
We at E-SA wonder with all this drama ensuing if we will be seeing Idols season 12 on January 30th or not?
