Yep, Mariah Carey is now officially engaged to Mr James Packer
The proposal took place in her hometown of New York City on Thursday evening. Carey, 45, and Packer, 48, – an Australian billionaire businessman (hmmm, who cares how he looks? he is a billionaire) – the couple first met at the Hercules premiere "a few years ago", she told Steve Harvey last year.
This will indeed be the third marriage for Carey, who was also previously married to music executive Tommy Mottola. Packer has three young children with his ex-wife Erica Baxter.
Mariah's future husband popped the big question in her hometown and he presented her with what can only be described as the most breath-taking engagement ring.
We're told that Mariah's new diamond bling comes in at around 35 carats and that no wedding date has been set just yet.
