THE Clash of The Choirs is definitely blazing hot. So far there are two teams that are always on top of their game.
Team iFani and Team JR are not going down without a harmonious fight this season
The two well-known rappers are proving they have what it takes to produce killer tunes with their choirs, each consisting of 18 members.
After witnessing Penny Penny’s Team Limpopo depart last week, the choirs were not leaving any off-tune voice to take a chance on Sunday.
They took the viewers to a session of emotional reminiscing as they relived the 90s by remixing R&B classics such as Crazy by K-Ci & Jojo, Don’t Leave by Blackstreet and Unpretty by TLC.
Although no one went back home during the show, Team Busiswa from KZN and Team Bucie from the Eastern Cape found themselves in the bottom two.
Team JR, all the way from Mpumalanga took on K-Ci & Jojo’s hit ‘Crazy’. Judge Rebecca Malope couldn’t help but applaud the group for their rendition of the song and told them to keep up the good work.
Ifani, who represents Team Western Cape said they were not familiar with the song they were expected to sing because most of them were born in the 1990s. They had to work their magic on Jodeci’s Love U 4 Life song, and surprisingly, they pulled the best performance of the day.
On the other hand, Team S’fiso from Free State kicked off the show with Blackstreet’s song Don’t Leave, while Team Busiswa from KZN performed SWV’s Weak, and Team Bucie from the Eastern Cape unleashed their sexiness with Color Me Badd’s Sexual Capacity.
Team Kelly Khumalo from Gauteng worked its own magic spin on TLC’s Unpretty.
Stay tuned into Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) on Sunday at 5.30pm to see who‘s going home.
