Even a Best Pop Album and Song of the Year win by the ladies’ favourite man Nathi Mankayi couldn’t stop young rappers, Emtee and Fifi Cooper from stealing the show at the Metro FM Awards on Saturday night.
Rapper Emtee scooped away four awards at the event for Best Remix, Best Music Video, Best Hip-Hop and the Listener’s Choice Award, WOWZERS!
Also in the spotlight, Fifi Cooper went home with three awards in the Best Female Album, Best Produced Album and Best Newcomer categories.
That’s not all; there were also two awards for AKA, Burna Boy and Khuli Chana’s hit collaboration Baddest, in the Best Collaboration and Hit Single categories.
(History sometimes does not repeat itself) as last year’s big winner, Cassper Nyovest, had to make do with just one award this year for Best Male Album.
