Just when we thought 2015 had swallowed all hashtags and the sanctioning of things and people lost… #Bring back etc… entertainment fans have proved us wrong… this time around, they’ve embedded a hashtag print on Zola 7!!
It is learned and it is trending on social media that fans have called on the SABC to bring back Zola's popular reality show, Zola 7.
The show aimed to motivate young people to follow their dreams by giving one of them a taste of his or her dream each week.
Zola 7 became one of the SABC's flagship shows that ranked in millions of viewers. However, it eventually came to an end more than five years ago as it became highly impossible to secure sponsorship on a weekly basis.
After the show stopped, Zola, according to many, disappeared away from the spotlight for five years before he returned last year as the presenter of Mzansi Magic's reality show, Utatakho.
After just a couple of months on the show, Zola was replaced. The official line explaining his replacement was that his 'schedule was too hectic' but as previously reported, E-SA understands he had a fall out with management after apparently trying to secure deals for his own company.
But all of that is bygones…and bygones should be given the opportunity to be bygones! This year some of Zola's loyal fans want the SABC to bring him back, here comes the hashtags..
There's even a campaign poster currently rotating on social media, which is fast gaining momentum.
Well, SABC the fans have spoken. It is up to you to decide! #bring_back_Zola 7.
