A very smart quote states that ‘’ The new racism is to deny that racism exists.’’ Especially this year, racism has turned out to be one of the most annoying topics surrounding our celebrities…nowadays, it affects everybody… even Metro FM radio personality and TV star Mo Flava is gatvol with racists.
This comes after he witnessed a soccer match during which a white player called an African referee a ‘’monkey’’. According to Mo, real name Moeti Tsiki, a top PSL coach was present, but never called his player to order.
News from Sunday sun has it that isidingo actor Motlatsi Mafatshe, who plays Sechaba in the SABC3 soapie, was also present to witness this grotesque incident, as he was playing for the same team as Mo Flava.
Mo Flava spared no shame to such an extent that he reported the matter to the South African Human Rights Commission(HRC) and the police.
The Morning Fix presenter and his team were playing against another club at Honeydew Indoor Sports Centre when the referee was insulted.
‘’I felt this was inappropriate, especially as we’re still fighting the racism that has gripped Mzansi recently.
‘’This white guy called the referee a monkey after being penalized for a rough tackle.
‘’Honestly, it didn’t go well with me and other players. We confronted him and advised him to apologies to the referee, but he was reluctant,’’ said Mo Flava.
According to Sunday Sun, the top PSL coach didn’t seem bothered, not a jot!
Mo Flava says even though he lodged a complaint with the SAHRC and tried to open a case with the Honeydew police, the cops refused to register his case… guess why? ‘’They said it’s because I was not the complainant,’’ claims Mo.
The victim, Abu Murembu, said he felt cheap after being called a monkey.
‘’This guy must be dealt with as I understand it’s not the first time he ridiculed black people. I’m going to open a case against him,’’ said the devastated Abu.
An SAHRC spokesman, Isaac Mangena said: ‘’I can confirm we’ve received a complaint.
‘’We’ve registered a complaint and it’s going through a process of assessment, and we’ll be investing.
‘’We’d also like to thank the Metro FM DJ who didn’t sit back when this was said to someone else.
E-SA advises one to be like a panda, black, white and Asian… well done Mo Flava.
