Phat Joe is in trouble after he allegedly dismissed his domestic worker of five years via an SMS. The distraught domestic worker received the news of her dismissal in January.
The domestic worker fails to understand why she was fired as every time she tries to meet with Phat Joe, he reportedly ignores her calls and messages.
As a last resort she approached her union who are planning on filing a complaint with the CCMA on her behalf. The union, The SA Domestic Service and Allied Workers’ Union (Sadsawu) alleges that the Metro FM breakfast show host keeps evading them when they try to set up an appointment with him to answer to the allegations, they also allege that the domestic who was fired found that she had already been replaced when she went to the DJ’s place of residence to have a word with him.
It seems that things are not going swimmingly for Phat Joe’s world. Metro FM suspended him (and Pearl Thusi) for constantly throwing shade at their colleague, Bonang Matheba, on their show.
