Hlaudi had the following to say regarding his actions.
“It didn’t make sense to get rid of a programme that was doing well as compared with other magazine shows. You can’t compare Soccer Zone with Generations and later make a decision that it’s not doing well and the numbers are going down.. It is doing better than SuperSport,” Motsoeneng said.
This is rather strange considering that the SABC’s channel bosses felt that the show was not doing well and therefore deserved to be axed.
However, Motsoeneng seems to believe that both Dlamini and Thomas Mlambo are talented and “The SABC did not believe in discarding its talent”, and that is why the two were rescued by him.
Jarrod Doyle who is Dlamini’s publicists said, “There is no special relationship between Mr. Motsoeneng and Minnie”.
Entertainment SA is glad that both Minnie and Thomas got saved from being unemployed.
