While we at EntertainmentSA took very seriously the news of Boity’s near smash and grab incident in Melville, Johannesburg. The rest of twitter didn’t think it was that much of news and decided to poke fun at her account instead with a very funny hashtag that has been trending for some time in the guise of the #BoitySurvives.
It all started on Wednesday evening when Boity tweeted about how she survived a smash and grab as she was driving through Melville, a strange man banged on her window three times in the effort of breaking it to no avail.
She tweeted amongst many other tweets:
"That shit was one of the scariest things I've ever experienced. But hey, God is in charge, right."
After the a few publications ran a story on the incident to which a 5FM DJ replied that that was hardly news. And cue the hashtag #BoitySurvives
