One thing we should always remember about tabloids is that they are like veld fires… they go where the bush is…#enough said.

DJ Sbu has come out guns blazing against recent media reports that accuse him of having a romantic relationship with a student.

According to Sunday Sun, Sbu had allegedly found himself in a love bubble with UJ student, Boitumelo Mahlase. The two of them were apparently spotted by various sources spending ‘’quality’’ time together.

The report further claimed that Sbu and Boitumelo allegedly flew to Durban together in a private jet, like normal couples do, and were spotted sightseeing in Midmar, how romantic (if true).

Shortly after the reports spread, Sbu took to Instagram to set the record straight.

And he said:

"I am very disappointed at your fabricated article about me and a sister that I have never met. I don't know this young lady, I have never met or spoken to her in my life. I do not own a private jet nor can I afford one," Sbu wrote.

The former radio personality was so agitated to such an extent that he also labelled the report as "poor journalism that destroys lives."

"I am utterly disgusted and appalled," Sbu added.

An eyewitness who accompanied Sbu to the airport to fly to Durban also gave a detailed account of what he witnessed.

Known as Lindo, the apparent eyewitness also slammed down the reports explaining that he drove Sbu to the airport, and that there was no private jet or young lady with Sbu at the time.

‘’Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.’’ With that said, we lay our gossip! We don’t want our sweet gossip to be labelled as ‘’poor journalism that destroys lives.’’
