Ntsiki ‘’the young version of Winnie Mandela’’ (as how her followers call her) Mazwai has once more raised a point of order chairperson (gossip lovers). This time around, it’s not aimed at Simphiwe Dana, nor the Beyoncé fever or racism at a university for that matter…. It is aimed at the late- legendary Nelson Mandela.
On a serious note though, the outspoken musician and activist, Ntsiki Mazwai claims that former president Nelson Mandela was a "bitter man" and says South Africa made a mistake by appointing him as president.
Ntsiki has never been one to pull punches (agreeing to disagreeing), but after observing the current court battle between Winnie Madikizela-Mandela and her late ex-husband's estate this week, thus catching feelings, she took to Twitter to give her controversial views on the former statesman and his ex-wife.
Just so we know, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela is currently challenging her ex-husband's estate, appealing for the rights to his home in Qunu, Eastern Cape.
Earlier this week, advocate George Bizos told the media that the former president did not include Winnie in his final will, and that she had done nothing with the estate for the 17 years it was in Nelson Mandela's name.
Winnie's lawyers are claiming that amidst the couple's divorce in 1996, their customary marriage remained intact and therefore, according AbaThembu custom, his home in Qunu belongs to her.
According to IOL, Nelson Mandela's last will and testament left the Qunu home to all members of the Mandela family as a place to keep unity within the family.
Judgement was reserved on Tuesday morning in the matter currently before the Mthatha High Court.
Ntsiki really does portray a young Winnie indeed… it takes some real guts to practice your freedom of speech in SA.
