Mrs Cater has reportedly been booted off the 'A Star Is Born' remake because of her fee being too high.
The 34-year-old actress was originally approached about starring in the movie when Clint Eastwood was attached to direct in 2011 and was in talks to take part in Bradley Cooper's production, after talks and considerations by the producers they decided against including her in the crew
A source told the New York Post's Page Six: "Beyoncé wanted too much money, and Warner Bros. balked at her price. The production budget was also said to be an issue with the studio, so the project has fallen apart."
However, despite claims the entire project has fallen through, it is believed that the project has now simply been put on hold while Bradley works on upcoming acting projects.
Another insider explained: "Bradley has started reading scripts for his next acting project. But the 'A Star Is Born' project remains in development and Bradley is still involved."
"This project is something Bradley has been involved with for a long time. It has gone on the back burner, but he's still working on it, among other projects."
