A lady on the comeback trail, Caster Semenya has smashed national records at the South African Senior Athletics Championships, winning the 400m, 800m and 1500m races on Saturday respectively.
She ran all three races within the space of four hours, recording Olympic qualifying times in her first two races, AFP reports.
Speaking to the media after taking part in all three races, when asked how her legs feel, she jokingly said for now they feel fine, but she's aware she'll be paying the price tomorrow.
“The legs don’t feel too much pain. I’ll pay tomorrow,” she laughed.
This is a great achievement for the 25-year-old sprinter after being off the track for two years due to a knee injury. Semenya hopes to add a 400m medal on top of the 800m silver she got during the 2012 London Olympics.
