If you, like the rest of us are fascinated by the talent that is Somizi Mhlongo, who last year came on board as the newest edition of the Idols judging panel and added a bit of fabulosity to the show after 11 seasons.
Or perhaps are in awe of his energy, talent and dancing skills and not to mention a tad jealous of his lavish lifestyle which he posts daily on his Instagram account than you will be happy to know that Som Som; Somgaga or SomG as he is popularly known by his many fans will be bringing some of his magic to the small screen in his very own reality TV show.
That’s right, Somizi, who was supposed to have his reality show flighted on Vuzu channel last year, suffered a blow when the channel canned the show due to a violent altercation he was allegedly involved in. However, it seems that the star has redeemed himself and is getting another shot at fame on the small screen.
M-Net’s Director of Local Entertainment Channels, Nkateko Mabaso commented on the bold new venture by Mzansi Magic: “Somizi is such an exciting personality, love him or hate him, viewers can’t get enough of him. He’s proven his entertainment value on Idols SA and various other productions, and he’s always a massive hit.”
Mhlongo gave hints on what viewers can expect during the debut season, “Expect to see me living my dream in all its ‘fabulosity’, blood, sweat and bling. What you’ll see is exactly who I am: crazy, pacey, fun, fast, and loud; but more than anything, it’s laughter and inspiration in one pot.”
