It has been reported that Queen Latifah and Common will visit Durban in July in support of a call for a sustained global funding to end HIV/Aids.
According to the Sunday Times, the international celebrities will headline a benefit concert, titled, The Keep The Promise Alive, which will be held at Kingsmead Stadium in Durban on 16 July.
The concert will be free for all who’d like to attend. Local acts Mi Casa and Big Nuz will also be performing at the concert, with Proverb and Ayanda-Allie Paine acting as MCs for the event.
In a press statement, artist Queen Latifah said, "I am excited to be part of the Keep The Promise Concert in Durban, South Africa. It's my first time in South Africa and it feels good to be going for such a great cause,"
Keep The Promise 2016 is an advocacy platform organised by the Aids healthcare Foundation, partners, and CSO’s to accelerate the fight against HIV/Aids.
