Emtee shares some useful tips on fatherhood.

Over the past few months, we have known Emtee to be a very profound and successful mzansi rapper, our cream, and not to mention, a man who is not afraid of sharing his feelings with the public (referring to his hit track, Pearl Thusi).

Speaking of which, the rapper has opened up taking his duties as a father very seriously in the midst of a busy life as an artist.

Emtee, who has even named his debut album after his two-year-old son Avery, shared some very useful advice in an interview with BONA magazine about the joys and challenges of being a parent.

Of course, being a rapper obviously comes with a heavy schedule of tours and gigs, which often sees Emtee having to be away from Avery.  Well according to the rapper, he always finds time to make it up for all the lost time and moments with his son.

"I make sure I see him every chance I get. I don’t live with him, so I always make sure to set aside some father and son quality time," he said.

Emtee, who is currently on good terms with his baby mama shared with us some useful tips to all his young fans who are fathers and he said:

"The secret is to understand that everything you do is for your child; so you need to be a united front for their sake. His mother and I are also blessed to have supportive families. When she has a class at varsity and I have a performance, there is always a family member willing to take care of Avery.”

Wow, a young rapper whose career is riding on a crest of wave and at the same time, a responsible father, now that’s something you don’t get to see every day.
