2017 Range Rover breaks the record by becoming the most powerful and hi-tech in history!

Known for its exquisite taste in its off-road capabilities and benchmark setting levels of luxury, the Range Rover has just proven to be no less than a modern human by releasing a Land Rover flagship SUV.

Designed for the future (2017), the Range Rover is getting some cutting-edge driver assistance tech, from autonomous emergency braking to collision avoidance and intelligent adaptive cruise control systems, can somebody please take us for a spin?

However, as much as the Range Rover might be known to suit only the best driver’s needs, majority of the new features have been tweaked to take into account how the typical Range Rover driver actually uses his or her vehicle.

    Here’s what we mean:

It has a low Traction Launch that ensures a gentle, slip-free departure when stopped on snow, ice, wet grass or muddy fields.

On top of that, it includes an Advanced Tow assist to lower your stress and frustration out of manoeuvring with a trailer or horsebox in tow. Technologically, the car uses surround camera system and the dashboard display to set or plot the course you need to take when driving, for instance, and then the car will automatically do the rest…. just like setting a plane on auto-pilot!

Well that’s not all, other smart features include a set of apps that can plan journeys including the sections of a route that will be on foot, and that can even start learning the owner's routine so that it can automatically offer the best route in real time and send friends or family updates regarding the estimated time of arrival.

We mentioned something about making history right? Well, with 542bhp on tap, the capability of going from 0-60mph in 5.1 seconds, a sharper suspension, a steering and a lower ride height for better control, and a system that applies equal and opposite forces to stop the body from rolling when cornering or turning at speed, who would blame this beast from making history?

Speaking about this new invention, Director of Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations, Mark Stanton said: "The Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic has been specially developed by the Special Vehicle Operations team to deliver a more engaging driving experience. It delivers the ultimate combination of performance and Range Rover luxury, befitting its unique position in the portfolio."

If this is the kind of future we are headed to, then we definitely have something entertaining to look forward to… who knows, maybe the 2018 edition will have an automated news-reading device to spare you the trouble of reading our gossip while driving..
