    Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu joins nationwide anti-Zuma march.

    While many apartheid struggle veterans and political influences have backed down from the nationwide protest against President Jacob Zuma, Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu has taken to the streets to join protesters who are weary of JZ and his alleged corrupt dealings.

    Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu and his wife Leah on Friday joined masses outside the retirement home they are staying at in Hermanus, to add their support to nationwide anti-Zuma marches.

    Thousands of South African citizens have formed human chains along streets to express their dissatisfaction with President Jacob Zuma and corruption.

    Photographs taken on Friday morning showed Tutu and his wife standing under a bus shelter, along with other residents.

    In one photograph, he is smiling and has his walking stick risen while his wife throws a big thumbs-up to the protesters.

    Another resident standing near them held up a page saying: “God save South Africa from greedy corrupt leaders.”

    Tutu, 85, has recently suffered health setbacks, and was recently admitted to hospital for a recurring infection.
