If you think shopping in Sandton is the highest level of living large here in South Africa, then clearly you haven’ t seen how Somizi Mhlongo lives up to his celebrity status.
The local entertainer is currently on his way to Los Angeles, where he’ll be covering the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet.
However, if the shared photos of his luxury cabin on board an Emirates flight are anything to go by, then his trip is more of a vacay than a gig. In the pics he is seen sipping cocktails, taking a nap in a comfortable reclined seat, and of course the Lious Vitton was not left behind!
At the time of publishing a first class return flight from Johannesburg (OR Tambo) to Los Angeles (LAX) cost between R110 000 and R123 000.
The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards that will broadcast live in partnership with Smirnoff from the Fabulous Forum in Inglewood, California on MTV (DStv 130) on Monday, 28 August at 02:00 with a repeat on 28 August at 21:30.
