DSTV is getting us in the holiday spirit in style this festive season and they have fresh content on the line up, and honey, it doesn’t get better than what the company has to offer.
Hosted by the vibey Hulisani Ravele, DSTV had a virtual TGI Festive media event that was showcasing some brand new local festive movies, Kyknet content and highlighting all the additional local and international content that they have to offer.
The DSTV TGI Festive campaign is all about giving users content that will cheer them up after a long and unpredictable. M-Net has promised to add on six brand new festive shows to the line-up including “Herb&Moon” and “Home Affairs: A Christmas Tale”
“All too often, Christmas is represented through western culture, and this is not the lived reality for us. We also have so many rich and diverse cultures with their own unique Christmas traditions. We needed to tell these stories, and to entertain our customers with very relatable story lines. So, the release of these movies marks a special moment for M-Net, as it’s the first time we’ve invested in local festive productions to this scale, and we’re excited to showcase them for a number of reasons.” – said Kaye Ann Williams, M-Net’s head of local production and Independent Films.
If you don’t feel like watching any movie or series, DSTV channels such as ESPN and Supersport have got your sports thirst covered. You have your National Geographic and more channels if you are all about keeping it real adventurous.
“During the lockdown, we noticed that people were watching way more TV than before. This spurred our decision to search far and wide to make sure we only have the best content for the festive season when everyone would be home and needing some well-deserved downtime.” – said Agisanang Masekela, Senior Manager of content discovery at Multichoice.
