Playgirl has just tickled our fantasy with 220 new shades of color…. talk about makeup foreplay!
The big brand, best known for beautifully scented body sprays, roll-on’s and lotions, has announced a bold move into colour cosmetics. The new line from Playgirl is set to shake up the local cosmetics market with an impressive 220 shades in eye and face palettes. Playgirl Beauty brand manager Tanita le Roux says that the products are luxurious, cruelty-free, world-class and available at an affordable price. “We’re setting a new trend in South Africa with both our range of colours and the innovative integration of glitter in our palettes.”
Le Roux says that the glitter formula is a revolution in eye palettes, offering a balance between a cream and a dry glitter. “The formulation allows for a soft and lightweight application with maximum impact”. She adds that each shade in the range has been tested across a range of different skin tones to ensure a high colour payoff result and seamless blending of colours.
Playgirl Beauty launches with 18 eye palettes and a face palette with nine smouldering shades to contour, bronze and highlight. Le Roux says that the ultra-pigmented formulas range from intense mattes, buttery shimmers, multi-dimensional shears and glitters, all of which are designed to last once applied.
The full range consists of the following products:

- Sultry – Add a little sultry to your stare with a range of gorgeous colours available in a mix of shimmer and mattes.
- Naughty Neons – Stand out from the crowd with a selection of highly pigmented colours.
- In the Mood for Nude – Looking for a palette with all your essentials? Then this is the palette for you!
- HypnotEyez – Offering a range of colours from soft pastels to striking brights and sultry darks.
- Just Glow with it – Discover what it means to shine! This palette offers a selection of face highlighters, bronzers and blushes making it the essential palette for the glam girl.
