Popular Pretoria-based atchar street vendor Chairman continues to grow from strength to strength.
The businessman, who sells atchar in the streets of Soshanguve announced on social media that his business will soon start taking card payments.
This may not be something extraordinary for most small businesses in 2022 but for the Chairman, his customers, and the street vendor industry at large this is a big milestone.
Chairman attracts a lot of customers through his charm, wisdom, and great service.
“Thanks for the kindness and warmth Reception I got from FNB Bank at Jubilee Mall..
“All Cards are now accepted you can do payments using your card,” he wrote on his Facebook.
Chairman broke the internet in January this year when he joined Tbose on My Top 10 at 10 as a guest. During the interview, he advised budding entrepreneurs in the township to start small.
“If you open a business in the township and you want it to be successful, sell something that is household. You can’t be walking door to door selling things for R500. But once you go door to door selling something for R5 you’ll be a millionaire because each and every household has that money lying somewhere in the house.
“We get it wrong by trying to open businesses that cost a lot of money in the township,” he imparted.
