Congratulatory messages are well in order for AmaZulu president Sandile Zungu who has tied the knot for the second time, he celebrated this milestone last weekend.
Zungu was previously married to his late wife, Zodwa, who passed away owing to cancer and he was spotted walking down the aisle.
According to the club’s official social media account, Zungu wedded on Friday last week in a stylish ceremony in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands.
Also known as Manzini, the successful businessman decided to marry for the second time as he lost his first wife in 2016. The pair have a daughter and three sons.
The owner of Zungu Investments Company bought the Durban-based DStv Premiership club in 2020 from Dr. Patrick Sokhela.
In a heartwarming message to the president, AmaZulu penned a congratulatory post on Twitter as the businessman is seen walking with his wife, Nozipho.
“A big congratulations to the club’s President, Mr. Sandile Zungu & Mrs. Nozipho KaMagubane Zungu, on their beautiful wedding this weekend. We wish them nothing but an amazing union!” reads the post.
Zungu’s wedding comes days after he raised his hand and declared his willingness to run for the ANC role in KwaZulu-Natal as its chairperson.
Coming back to football matters, the KwaZulu-Natal side will be gunning to do better next season as they qualified to reach the MTN8.
The club recently signed former Orlando Pirates striker Gabadinho Mhango and Dumisani Zuma who was released by Kaizer Chiefs.
Zungu also confirmed their ambitions, saying they are gunning for trophies to eventually end the 30-year drought.
“If we cannot lift one trophy next season, we would have grossly underperformed,” he said.
“If we don’t gain our rightful place in the top quintile of South African football and represent South Africa in one of the CAF Competitions, it will be an injustice.”
