“Kelly Khumalo pulled the trigger!”Advocate Teffo claims

Advocate Malesela Teffo claims an eyewitness will be able to attest that Kelly Khumalo pulled the trigger, killing her boyfriend Senzo Meyiwa by accident.

Arguing for four of the five men accused for the former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates footballer’s murder, Adv. Teffo dropped the bombshell in court on Wednesday, 1 June.

According to the defence attorney, the gun that Meyiwa was shot and killed with belonged to Longwe Twala.

Twala was apparently in a relationship with Kelly Khumalo’s sister, Zandile at the time.

The son of musician Chicco Twala is said to have had the firearm in his possession on the night that Meyiwa was allegedly killed in a botched home robbery.

“The firearm used to shoot Senzo Robert Meyiwa by Kelly Khumalo came with Longwe Twala.”

Advocate Teffo said Kelly Khumalo pulled the trigger, mistakenly killing her boyfriend, Senzo Meyiwa

The shocking revelation was made after Teffo said there was a huge cover-up to protect the identity of Meyiwa’s true killer.

He claimed that after realizing Senzo Meyiwa was dead, a meeting was held with all those that were in the house.

Meyiwa was killed in Vosloorus, Gauteng at his girlfriend’s family home in the presence of Kelly Khumalo and her family.

Apart from the Khumalo family, Adv. Teffo claims high-ranking police officers as well as former Gauteng community safety MEC, Sizakele Nkosi-Malubane were part of the meeting.

Defending his clients, Teffo said a plan was hatched that night at the meeting to cover-up the truth about Meyiwa’s death.
