In the wake of massive speculation that Royal AM boss Shauwn Mkhize demanded a staggering R20 million transfer fee for Victor Letsoalo from Kaizer Chiefs, the businesswoman has rubbished the claims.

Mkhize says the Soweto giants never made enquiries for the striker who has reportedly joined Sekhukhune United on a low R3 million transfer.

The flamboyant DStv Premiership club owner says she never received formal enquiries for the former Bloemfontein Celtic hitman.

She added that the media misinformed the public as far as the dealings involving the player, saying the player voluntarily asked to be released.

The 29-year-old was unveiled by Babina Noko this week as he signed a three-year deal, and Mkhize also explains that the Limpopo-born player approached the club asking to return home to Limpopo.

“It’s very simple, first of all, we never received any offer from Chiefs or any club for Victor, not even one,” Mkhize told KickOff.

“We never received a single offer for the player, not even one person approached us to inform us that they had an interest in him. So, all the noise was in the media as a club we know nothing.”

The wealthy philanthropist also set the record disputing rumours that they don’t have beef with the Glamour Boys.

Moreover, she could not deny nor confirm the price tag on the Limpopo-born player’s head, saying his new club can confirm that.

“It was not R3 million that was paid for him, but I won’t say unless Sekhukhune are the ones who want to reveal the figure,” she added.

“Even the R20 million stories are not true, we have never even discussed that Chiefs wants Victor.

“This thing creates a bad picture because it makes it looks like Royal AM have issues with Kaizer Chiefs.”
