Talented Miss Pru DJ separates from Ambitiouz Entertainment

Gifted local musician Miss Pru DJ has announced her divorce from Ambitiouz Entertainment after seven years of marriage with the record label.

Miss Pru DJ, Prudence Sebalo, released a statement on social media confirming the news of her departure from the record label.

The talented DJ, Miss Pru, says she took a break from making music in the past couple of months to re-energise herself.

However, the news has come as surprise to her followers as Miss Pru DJ remained loyal to the label, Ambitiouz Entertainment.

“Over the past couple of months I took a bit of a break from being active in making music and had taken this much-deserved break to re-energise and redefine my artistic expression in a way that allows me to give the best I can to my supporters,” she said on Instagram.

As the oldest artist who signed with Ambitiouz Entertainment, Miss Pru, stayed with the company despite parting ways with a number of musicians.

“Ambitiouz Entertainment played a big role in my career and so it is not an easy decision to announce my departure from the label,” she added.

“I and Ambitiouz Entertainment have amicably consented to part ways and I will forever be grateful for all their hard work and the value they’ve added to my brand.

“I’m starting to feel like myself again, Yoh, I went through it. Taking care of your mental health should be a priority. Not a lot of people will get it, but zinakekele.”

Miss Pru DJ’s departure comes immediately after the much-publicised separation between the recording company, Ndumiso Mdletshe and Sphelele Dunywa of Blaq Diamond who announced they are going independent after leaving the label.

“It was between sticking with the label or choosing growth. We wanted growth more than anything because we wanted to tap into the African market,” the duo told Podcast and Chill.

“There was a clear disconnect between our vision and theirs. It is no longer aligned. It was nice working with them. We just want to go shoot to the other side.”
