    ‘Mama I made It”: Lloyiso delighted to see his billboard in New York

    South African musician Lloyiso has seriously inspired many local social media users after sharing images of his billboard in the United States of America

    Popularly known as Llloyiso, Loyiso Gijana headed to Twitter and Instagram to brag about his success, saying he has made it – he also thanked Spotify for the billboard that is displayed in New York.

    The former Idols SA contestant said “Mama I made it!” as his billboard lit up Times Square in New York.

    The billboard, by Spotify, was to promote his debut EP, Seasons and Gijana shared the excitement of seeing himself on a Time Square display – his fans are delighted for the musician.

    The Singer, songwriter, and former Idols contestant is known for his stellar vocals, and in 2022, he went viral for his rendition of Adele’s Easy On Me and the song boasts over eight million views on YouTube.

    In a related article on Lloyiso, Entertainment SA reported that although he didn’t go further, he left an indelible impression with his powerful voice.

    Now, the 22-year-old, who is now simply known as Lloyiso, was about to make his presence felt on a global stage after being signed up by Universal Music Group South Africa and Republic Records in the US.

    Not just that, he is the first South African artist to sign with Republic Records

    Welcoming Lloyiso to the label, Republic Records Executive Vice President of A&R, Brett Alperowitz, commented: “Lloyiso has all the makings of a career superstar — knock out vocals, incredible song-writing, and an amazing story to tell. He’s the rare talent who not only transcends genres but crosses borders as well.”
