Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena said the club will respond shortly as far as Andile Jali’s situation is concerned.
Mokwena was addressing the media ahead of their CAF Champions League match against Wydad Casablanca at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Sundowns claimed their sixth DStv Premiership title on Tuesday after playing to a 1-all draw against Maritzburg United but one player was missing.
Jali was a notable absentee and the media was forced to quiz the astute manager who said a statement will soon be issued to the press.
The hard-working midfielder made headlines in the past few months as it was reported that he came to training under the influence of alcohol after trying to force a move away from Chloorkop.
“The club will respond very shortly, it is a club matter,” he reacted.
“Though he did not want to comment on Jali, Mokwena said he is happy with the squad when quizzed on whether he will venture into the transfer market.
“I am happy with the squad we have because it is a good squad with good players who have shown a greater potential to still improve.”
After bagging R15 million in prize money and on the verge of making it to the final of the lucrative CAF competition, Mokwena praised his players.
