Nicki Minaj has fallen victim to the ‘swatting’ attack during the week after an anonymous prankster called the police and claimed that her 2-year-old son was being abused.
Talking to TMZ recently, a law enforcement source revealed that the prankster called child services, which then led to Los Angeles Police Department sheriff’s deputies knocking at on the door of Minaj’s California mansion.
The ‘Starships’ hitmaker was interrogated by the officer in her home regarding these allegations about her son that she has with her husband Kenneth Petty. After having a good look at the child, the officers saw that there were no signs of abuse.
A couple of hours after that, there was a follow up 911 call reporting a fire at Nicki’s home. The police realized that the rapper had been ‘swatted’ since there was no truth to the fake phone calls.
Reports say that the 40-year-old rapper is taking legal action against those involved. The source further revealed that the prank is known to waste time and resources that could be used for real crimes.
Nicki Minaj’s son was born in September 2020, shortly after she married her husband Petty. She affectionately calls her son ‘Papa Bear.
