Amanda du Pont has finally broken her silence after her ex-boyfriend Jub Jub was arrested on allegations of rape, attempted murder, and assault.
The media personality is one of the four women that went on to open a case charges against the Uyajola 9/9 star and singer. Last week, the “Ndikhokhele” hitmaker handed himself over to police after a warrant of arrest was issued in his name.
After he made his appearance at the Johannesburg Magistrates Court, Jub Jub was released on R10 000 bail.
Since Jub Jub was arrested, this was the first Instagram post from the actress Amanda du Pont, where shared her state of mind with her followers.
The post was showcasing du Pont working out, and she captioned the post: “Training is mental, stay strong there, and God will do the rest.”
She went on to add on the post: “Do nothing, and they will talk, do what’s right, and they still talk. I hope I encourage you to have the strength to live your truth. I love you guys and appreciate your support. His Grace is sufficient”.
The presenter also reacted to another post on Instagram by gender-based violence organisation Women For Change, welcoming Jub Jub’s arrest. The media personality left a fist-pump emoji and a white heart emoji.
Jub Jub was released on R10 000 bail after turning himself in for the allegations. These charges that were made by these four women including Amanda, pertain to the period between 2006 and 2009.
In court papers that were leaked last year, Amanda detailed her explosive relationship with the Moja Love presenter, which started in 2006. In it, she claimed that the star had repeatedly raped and abused her. She also claims that the hitmaker attempted to “murder” her in 2008.
