The Emmys have released their nominees, and comedian and talk show host Trevor Noah has received two nominations for two distinct shows.
When Noah received a nomination for The Daily Show, he took to Twitter to express his delight.
“Wow! This is always so surreal,” the former host tweeted. “3 Emmy noms for @thedailyshow Thank you to @TelevisionAcad for the honour once again! And of course congrats to everyone behind the scenes at @thedailyshow! Chris McCarthy, and the entire Paramount family! Thank you!”
His Netflix comedy special, I wish You Would, also received a nomination for the Outstanding Variety Special.
Taking to his Twitter account, the South African media personality shared his joy.
“Wow! Having my @Netflix special “I wish you would” nominated for an Emmy is absolutely mind-blowing. Thank you so much to everyone who watched and everyone who voted.”
