After a lot of wondering and speculation ins terms of who would be coming to SA this year for the DSTV Delicious, the lifestyle festival has finally revealed that Maxwell, Robert Glasper and Tems will be this year’s international acts.
As Maxwell will be headlining day two of the show, South African Grammy Award winning musician Zakes Bantwini and Nigerian afrobeats star Tems will co-headline the first day.
This will not be Tems first time in Mzansi, as she previously came through last November for the Invite Only Friends of Amstel event.
The American pianist and record producer Robert Glasper has also been to South Africa, which was back in 2013, and performed in several cities alongside day two headliner Maxwell.
Taking to social media, DSTV Delicious shared the news with the caption: “Get ready for the tantalising #DStvDeliciousFestival lineup Powered by LottoStar, weaving soulful voices & extraordinary talent,”

The tweet was accompanied by a short promo video. The voice over playing along with a montage of some of the biggest moments over the years read: “Africa’s biggest food and music festival is celebrating 10 years of unforgettable food and world class performances,”
More performance on the heated line-up include Karyendasoul, Murdah Bongz, Greg (The Musical Maestro), Oskido, Joyous Celebration, Christos, Oscar Mbo, DJ Lamiez, Ringo Madlingozi, DJ Kent and Arrested Development.
Following last year’s DSTV Delicious headliner Burna Boy’s recent announcement that he’ll be headlining his own show at FNB Stadium on September 23, which will be taking place on the same day as the opening day of DSTV Delicious, social media users have been discussing how jam-packed the month of September is.
