‘Good riddance’: Is Euphonik happy about Zoleka Mandela’s death?

It seems like the South African artist, Themba Nkosi, well known as Euphonik had a bone to pick with the late Zoleka Mandela.

When the news of ‘When Hope Whispers’ author broke that she passed away, the DJ wasted no time and sparked outrage on social media after posting a mysterious message on X (previously Twitter) immediately.

Zoleka had been previously diagnosed with breast cancer and she beat it, twice. As the country was pouring in tributes and messages of condolences for Mandela, Euphonik took to X and posted a cryptic note, writing: “God fetching okes in their numbers! Good Riddance.”

The speculation from social media users and fans is Euphonik’s post is linked to the rape allegations levelled against him and his friend DJ Fresh by popular X user and activist Nampree – real name Siphelele Madikizela.

In January 2021, Nampree accused DJ Fresh and Euphonik of having drugged and raped her after a night out more than 10 years ago, a case which was later reportedly dropped.

It is said that Zoleka Mandela is a relative of Nampree and the late writer is one of the many anti-abuse activists who have shown the alleged victim support.
